GPSR product-page checker: what should it check?
A focused checker can help you review visible Article 19 information on a product offer, but it should not pretend that a webpage scan is a legal compliance certificate.
What a GPSR product-page checker should look for
Article 19 of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 names information that an online or other distance-sales offer should clearly and visibly indicate. For a focused listing-readiness check, the core groups are:
- Manufacturer information: name or trade name/trademark plus postal and electronic contact address.
- EU Responsible Person information when the manufacturer is outside the EU: name plus postal and electronic address.
- Product identification: a product picture, product type, and another product identifier.
- Applicable warning or safety information: where such information is required for the product, in a language consumers can easily understand as determined by the Member State where the product is made available.

What it cannot determine
