Use this narrow checklist to review information visible in a Shopify product offer. It covers Article 19 listing signals, not the full set of obligations that may apply to a product or business.
Focused Shopify product-page checklist
If a Shopify store makes a physical product available to consumers in the EU, the storefront product offer is still an online distance-sales offer. Article 19 is platform-neutral: the question is what information the offer clearly and visibly provides.
- Manufacturer name / registered trade name / registered trademark.
- Manufacturer postal address.
- Manufacturer electronic address.
- If the manufacturer is outside the EU: EU Responsible Person name, postal address, and electronic address.
- Product image.
- Product type or other clear description.
- Another product identifier.
- Any applicable warning or safety information in the appropriate language context.
